ドイツのアナーキスト、ヨッヘン・クノープラオホ（Jochen Knoblauch）のウエブサイトに掲載されたErde（英語でEarth）という詩を掲載します。
この詩は、2020年4月25日に、彼のウエブサイト執筆・掲載されました。

クノープラウホは、この詩を各国語に翻訳するプロジェクトを、「Earthプロジェクト」と呼んでいます。
ウエブサイトの説明によれば、2020年当時、イタリアには、地中海を渡ってヨーロッパに来る途中で不幸にして命を落とした身元不明の人々の遺体が1000体以上あったそうですが、当時、ある女性の人類学者が彼らの身元確認作業を行っていたとのこことです。
クノープラウホは、この活動を応援するため、詩Erdeを掲載したのだと思います。
その後この詩は、彼の友人や知人によって12か国語に翻訳されました。その中に、Ichiro Furuichiさんによる日本語の訳がありましたが、クノープラウホが携わった英訳も参考にしながら、少しこなれた訳文にしてみました。
Erdeは、「地球」と訳すべきか悩みました。英語もドイツ語も、さらに他の言語も、Erde Earthには、私たちの住む惑星という「地球」という意味とともに、「土soil」という意味もあり、どちらに訳すはか文脈次第だからです。
Ichiro Furuichiさんは「地球」と訳されていますが、ここでは、難民たちがポケットに故郷の土を入れて持ってきている、というフレーズがあり（これがどういうエピソードに由来するのかはわかりませんが）、また、彼らの遺体がやがて海の底から地上に戻される、というフレーズもあり（つまり、海岸に打ち上げられる、ということです）、「大地」と訳してみました。
なお、地中海で船が沈没するなどして行方不明になった「移民」「難民」は、2014年以来、3万3千人に上る、と以下のニュースが報じています。

Here I post a poem titled "Erde" (Earth in English) that was posted on the website of German anarchist Jochen Knoblauch. This poem was written and posted on his website on April 25, 2020.

Knoblauch calls his project to translate this poem into various languages the "Earth Project."
According to the website, in 2020, there were over 1,000 unidentified bodies in Italy of people who had tragically lost their lives while crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Europe. At the time, a female anthropologist was working to identify them.
We believe Knoblauch published the poem "Erde" to support this effort.
The poem has since been translated into 12 languages by his friends and acquaintances. Among them was a Japanese translation by Ichiro Furuichi, but I also referred to the English translation that Knoblauch was involved in to create a more polished translation.
In English, German, and other languages, "Erde" or "Earth" can mean the "planet" we live on, as well as "soil," and in which Japanese word should I translate, planet （地球 chikyuu） or soil/ land (土 tsuchi or 大地 daichi), is depends on the context.
Ichiro Furuichi translated it as planet earth, but in the poem here there is a phrase about refugees carrying soil from their homelands in their pockets (although I don't know what episode this comes from), and there is also a phrase about their bodies eventually being returned to land from the bottom of the sea (in other words, washed up on the shore), so I translated it as "land (大地 daichi)."
Incidentally, the following news report states that the number of "migrants" / "refugees" who have gone missing in the Mediterranean Sea after their boats sank or otherwise reached 33,000 since 2014.
